to the Transit Operational Data Standard (TODS), GTFS, and other tools and
specifications are descriptive only.

The sample feed under examples/ and the fixture feeds under tests/fixtures/ are
hand-built and synthetic. They are illustrative reference material for
exercising the validator and contain no real agency, personnel, or vehicle data.

Interoperability with MobilityData's gtfs-validator (used in CI to check merged
feeds) is by invocation only; that tool is not vendored or modified here and is
distributed under its own license.
