Generated by Draft release notes. Not ready to merge as it stands — the notes
carry TODO (human) markers, and each one is a thing a generator cannot know:
- the paragraph that makes this a release rather than a diff,
- the historical figure it is named beside, cited (RELEASING.md §6 — an invented anecdote here is the same class of defect as a water source in the wrong place),
- the hiker-facing list rewritten in plain language, with anything a hiker cannot see deleted,
- what is not validated, confirmed rather than assumed (§8d — this section is never empty, and a release whose author believes it is has not looked),
- the compatibility line, or the sentence saying nothing is required of anyone.
Merging this does not release anything. Production deploys from a tag, and tagging is the maintainer's action (§12). The gate table in §8 is what has to be true first.
Labelled no-issue deliberately: release paperwork has no issue behind it, and
CONTRIBUTING.md's exemption exists so that the rule does not manufacture the
paperwork it was written to prevent.
